Dr. Kemi Adu has been practicing medicine for over 31 years, with a deep passion for supporting women through all stages of their health journey, especially menopause. Her career was motivated by a desire to help people during their most vulnerable moments, and this empathy is reflected in her work. Kemi’s focus on women’s health stems from her recognition that many women often put their own care last and may feel hesitant to address their health concerns. She is dedicated to menopause management because she sees the profound, positive effects it can have not just on women but on their families and society at large.
Dr. Adu takes a biopsychosocial approach to care, considering physical, mental, emotional, and social factors in her personalised treatments. She prioritises active listening, shared decision-making, and empowering women with education and support throughout their menopause journey. Beyond menopause, Kemi specialises in women’s health and mental health, and she mentors healthcare professionals in general practice.
Outside of her medical career, Dr. Adu enjoys spending quality time with her family, reading, traveling, and immersing herself in the performing arts, history, and culture.
